CPAC - What is being reviewed?
In Canada, there are established quality programs addressing the technical aspects (e.g., how specimens are prepared for interpretation) of pathology; however, programs incorporating the interpretive aspects (the approach to how a pathologist makes their assessment) of pathology are not as established. To enhance patient safety through promoting more consistent and high-quality pathology quality assurance across the country, this is the first attempt at developing a baseline set of recommendations for interpretive pathology quality that could be implemented into existing provincial quality assurance programs across Canada. The current version of the framework can be accessed here.
How do I provide feedback?
Feedback will be collected through an electronic survey, accessed through this link: https://cpac.fluidsurveys.com/surveys/CPAC/qiip-public-review/
This survey is voluntary. However, your responses are very important to us and we encourage you to complete this survey.
The survey should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. The public review period will run from May 10 to June 30, 2016. While feedback is welcome at any time, only comments received during this consultation period will be considered for inclusion in the final framework. This survey will remain open until midnight (Eastern Time) on June 30, 2016.
Please note: Although we have not explicitly requested feedback on individual recommendations, we do welcome your comments on the recommendations. When answering the questions, please keep in mind that the recommendations are intended to be at a national level which will be customized according to local health system characteristics.
