Dear CAP member,
At the upcoming CAP meeting in Ottawa from July 12 - 16, 2008, there will be a symposium on "Pathology in Developing Nations" (Monday July 14 from 8:30 to 11 AM). We believe that there is a great deal of experience among Canadian pathologists in this area. With the goal of making our membership more aware of this experience, encouraging interest in the subject, supporting the symposium and providing a forum for participation, we encourage Canadian pathologists with the relevant experience to submit an abstract for presentation at the meeting.

The experience could include a period of service, teaching and/or collaborative research with pathologists/in pathology departments in low resource countries.

The deadline for abstract submission is February 29, 2008. Time is short, however we encourage you to share your experience in this stimulating subject with your national colleagues, especially in the context of this symposium. The presentation could be in either platform or poster format.

Please use the instructions and the electronic submission page at
www.pathologyconference.com

Looking forward to your attendance at the symposium and active participation in Ottawa.

Sincerely,
Indrojit Roy, MD
Hallgrimur Benediktsson, MD
