Masson Trichrome Stain
- Much-used histological special stain for connective tissue was invented by Dr. Claude L. Pierre Masson of the Université de Montréal in Montréal, QC

Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine (SNOMED)
- Dr. Roger A. Côté of the Université de Sherbrooke in Sherbrooke, QC, was a principal investigator in the development of SNOMED, the forerunner of what is today the Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine-Clinical Terms (SNOMED-CT), a systematically organized computer processable collection of medical terminology, considered to be the most comprehensive, multilingual clinical healthcare terminology in the world.

- The famous poem on the back of the Canadian 10-dollar bill and associated with Remembrance Day was written by Dr. John McCrae of McGill University in Montréal, QC
