Purpose
To recognize the best presentation of an experimental pathology paper, either oral or poster, at the CAP-ACP Annual Meeting by a resident, fellow, graduate student, or junior staff member who has been on staff for 3 years or less.
Award Amount
$500 and a certificate.
Eligibility Requirements
- Residents, fellows, graduate students, junior staff members who have been on staff for three years or less.
- The work should be original and publishable in a peer-reviewed journal with data derived from experimentation that is hypothesis driven. Case reports and descriptive studies will not usually qualify for this award. The award is not restricted to animal experimentation, and may be based on clinical material, as long as a definite question is asked and experiments are carried out in order to answer the question.

On the abstract form for the CAP-ACP Annual Meeting, the applicant should indicate that he/she wishes to be considered for the Award in Experimental Pathology

Prix des directeurs canadiens en pathologie / pathologie experimentale
Un prix de 500 $ ainsi qu’un certificat seront présentés au lauréat de la meilleure présentation orale ou sous forme d’affiche en pathologie expérimentale, lors de la réunion annuelle de l’ACP.
Sont éligible, les résidents, les associés, les étudiants gradués et les membres juniors du personnel (faisant partie du personnel depuis trois ans ou moins).
Les travaux doivent être originaux et de qualité supérieure pouvant être publiés et révisé par des collègues. Les données doivent provenir d’expériences qui découlent d’hypothèses. Les rapports de cas et les études descriptives ne sont pas généralement considérés pour ce prix. En plus de l’expérimentation animale, les études présentées peuvent se baser sur du matériel clinique, en autant qu’une question claire est posée et que des expériences sont élaborées pour répondre à la question.
