CLS accessions 120,000 surgical specimens, 245,000 gynecologic cytology specimens, and 10,000 non-gynecologic cytology specimens annually. The DPLM is part of the rapidly growing Faculty of Medicine, which provides excellent, and constantly updated, research infrastructure.

Calgary is a vibrant, multicultural city near the Rocky Mountains. The city provides ample opportunities to pursue a myriad of cultural, dining, and spectator sport activities. Proximity to eight national parks (and the nearby scenic resort towns of Banff and Lake Louise) provide year-round opportunities for a wide variety of outdoor activities. Our sunny climate and our extensive system of parks, golf courses, and bicycle paths make Calgary a wonderful place to live.
