Invitation to Join the Ontario Forensic Investigator’s Association
Dear Prospective Members,
As the Director of Communications for OFIA, I am very pleased to share with you an exciting opportunity for your police service. For decades prior to the formation of OFIA, Forensic Investigators representing Ontario Police Services and associated government agencies, met informally to discuss forensic investigative work with the goal of promoting investigative excellence in Ontario as it relates to the forensic discipline. In 2015 these members proposed the formation of OFIA and through a collaborative effort OFIA was formally launched at the annual meeting of Ontario Forensic Investigators on November 27, 2016.
In the brief time OFIA has been in existence, we have seen tremendous growth of our association as well as benefit to the members. OFIA now has representation from 24 police services and government agencies across Ontario. Our Association is committed to professional collaboration to enhance investigative excellence within the field of forensic identification services in the Province of Ontario.
On behalf of the OFIA Executive, I am very excited to extend an invitation to you to join our team and enjoy the many benefits of membership including:
