The CAP Newsletter was once the main means by which the Association communicated with its members. The early 21st century was a period of transition, during which the CAP Newsletter coexisted with the CAP Website. 2009 saw the transformation of the CAP Newsletter into the new Canadian Journal of Pathology, a publishing venue for peer-reviewed research.
