ABOUT THE COMMITTEE

Chair: Dr. Aaron Pollett (Toronto ON)
Purpose: This Committee (originally called the Economics and Manpower Committee) was established for these purposes:
- To maintain a register of laboratory physician renumeration and manpower
- To monitor patterns and analyze trends and policies regarding laboratory physician renumeration and manpower
- To provide economic information for members
- To provide a position vacancy listing service for members (a function that has since been assumed by the Careers Page of the CAP Website)
- To make recommendations which might enhance the economic status and improve the supply and distribution of laboratory professionals, all in cooperation with the Secretariat, the Executive Committee and other professional bodies.
