IN SIXTY is Manitoba’s Cancer Patient Journey Initiative aimed to get patients from suspicion of cancer, through diagnosis, and to their first treatment faster – in sixty days or less – and to do so in a way that also provides a smoother experience for patients. While the 60-day goal will take several years to achieve, cancer journey improvements are underway in areas of primary care, diagnostics, specialty care, IT support, and communication. In Sixty is a partnership of Manitoba Health, CancerCare Manitoba, Diagnostic Services of Manitoba, Manitoba’s regional health authorities, Family Physicians, Specialists and other health care providers, and patients.
