The Cancer Care Advisory Committee has been created as a joint CAP-ACP/Partnership committee arising from the National Pathology Standards Committee that was convened in 2012. At a high level, the Committee will focus on pathology-related elements within the cancer control continuum, including:
• Supporting the adoption and advancing the implementation of electronic synoptic pathology reporting in Canada
• Providing guidance to enhance quality and accuracy in cancer pathology
• Supporting other areas within cancer control including prevention and screening
