Deadline: Sun, 01 Jul
Background
This award was established in November 2010 in memory of Dr. Andrew Herzenberg, a nephropathologist who was selected as the CAP-ACP Junior Scientist in 2010, but who tragically passed away before that year's Junior Scientist Award presentation. The honorarium for that award was used to start an endowment fund for this award.
Purpose
To recognize the best oral or poster presentation by a resident in Nephropathology or Transplant Pathology at the CAP-ACP Annual Meeting.
Award Amount
The nature and monetary value of the award will depend on the value of the fund. With the annual renewal of their CAP-ACP membership, CAP-ACP members will have an opportunity to donate to the award's endowment fund.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be a resident in a pathology/laboratory medicine residency training program.
How To Apply
On the abstract form for the CAP-ACP Annual Meeting, applicants should indicate that he/she wishes to be considered for the CAP-ACP Andrew Herzenberg Award. Oral and posters presentations will be judged at the time of the Annual Meeting by at least two nephropathologists nominated by the Awards Committee. The award will be presented at the Banquet.
Application Deadline
