The Hematopathologist will provide leadership to our core lab technical team within the Laboratory Medicine Program at North York General Hospital (NYGH). The successful candidate will possess a passion for service excellence. The individual will demonstrate a commitment to quality healthcare delivery and patient safety, and actively support the academic mandate of the organization.

On a practical level, you will:

- Be responsible for a full range of Hematopathology including bone marrows and lymph nodes

- Supervise the core lab section of Hematopathology

- Participate in teaching, rounds presentations and collaborative clinical research


The successful individual will be a licensed physician, or eligible for licensure, in the province of Ontario; hold or be eligible for Royal College Certification in Anatomic or General Pathology; and, will have (or be eligible for) an academic appointment with the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.

They will also have subspecialty certification in Hematopathology. Training in Transfusion Medicine is considered an asset.
