Saturday in Pathology

This year’s Saturday in Pathology, a continuing medical education event sponsored by Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center, will be held on June 11 2022. This year’s topic is “Updates on Genitourinary Pathology and Molecular Diagnostics”. A detailed event description is below as well as in the attached program brochure. This event will be eligible for a maximum of 3 hours Section 1 credits and a maximum of 3 hours Section 3 credits (upon the completion of the post-conference knowledge assessment quiz). The event will be conducted entirely online using Zoom and will be recorded. While the attendance of this year’s event is FREE,  we request that you kindly register in advance by contacting Ms Karen Laws by June 6 2022 (please use “2022 Saturday in Pathology” as the “Subject” of the email). Learning objectives
This case-based approach to pathology will go beyond looking at the basics and delve into the clinical and practical relevance of our diagnoses.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
• discuss recent updates on prostate pathology and their implications for clinical management
• apply molecular testing to guide targeted therapy of GU tumors
• describe an approach to assessment of challenging renal tumors on biopsy
• Identify key diagnostic features and work-up of some uncommon benign and malignant lesions in bladder biopsies and TURBT
