All potential revenues and expenses MUST be fully disclosed.
Funding arrangements MUST be in keeping with the Canadian Medical Association’s Guidelines, The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Guidelines and the CAP-ACP.
There is to be NO financial interaction between industry and the speakers. There is to be NO financial interaction between third party planners and the speakers.
ALL speaker honoria, travel and accommodation must be transferred to and distributed by CAP-ACP.
Honoraria - Only speakers from outside of Canada are eligible to receive honoraria. The maximum amount that can be provided to a speaker is $1,000.00 CAD per talk. (unless otherwise agreed by a sponsor or co-develop organization.)
Travel - Only lowest economy travel can be expensed for a CAP-ACP accredited event.
Accommodation - Up to two nights of accommodation in a traditional room can be expensed for a CAP-ACP accredited eventl. If the event is part of a conference, the accommodation arrangements must be made at the host hotel
MODERATORS AND CHAIRS
Moderators and chairs are NOT eligible for any honoria or reimbursement for travel or accommodation.
